Nursing Facility Administrator Intensive

Whether you are a new nursing facility administrator or sharpening your skills, this program is designed to deliver a range of the most current, key information that you need to help shape success in your operation. The Nursing Facility Administrator Intensive will include information on regulation and survey updates, employment practices, Minimum Data Set (MDS) updates, compassionate care, reducing caregiver stress, advocacy, and food service. Discussions will be held on developing new leaders.

Content: Whether you are a new nursing facility administrator or sharpening your skills, this program is designed to deliver a range of the most current, key information that you need to help shape success in your operation. The Nursing Facility Administrator Intensive will include information on regulation and survey updates, employment practices, Minimum Data Set (MDS) updates, compassionate care, reducing caregiver stress, advocacy, and food service. Discussions will be held on developing new leaders. 

Objectives: At the completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe best practices for navigating the survey process
  2. Identify at least three changes to the Minimum Data Set (MDS)
  3. Explain methods to reduce caregiver stress
  4. Develop new leaders in their community

Audience: This program is appropriate for nursing facility administrators.

Format: Registrants will have the option to attend in person or virtually. Each attendee will designate in-person or virtual format during registration. Registrants must attend in the format in which they are registered.

If you are attending virtually, an internet connection is required. NHCA uses Zoom as the webinar platform. You may participate from any computer and most mobile devices that have internet access. However, to receive full credit, you must be logged into the Zoom app through your computer or mobile device. A computer with external speakers or headset is needed; a microphone and/or webcam is required. CE Credit: 12.75 hours of continuing education is available. Please defer to your licensing board or agency to ensure courses taken meet your license requirements.

Handouts: Handouts will be available online. Registrants will receive a link to handouts prior to the program. Be sure to include your email address on the registration form.

Evaluations: Please provide feedback on the course by completing the evaluation. A link to the online evaluation will be emailed to registrants.
