Content: This program will provide updated information regarding both state and federal
legislative issues affecting Nebraska’s nursing facilities and assisted living
communities. Participants will receive recommendations for communicating
about legislative issues and bills with elected officials and their staff.
Objectives: At the completion of the training, the participant will be able to:
- Describe key legislative bills affecting nursing facilities and assisted living
communities in 2024
- Discuss potential impact of legislation on their community
- Identify skills for being an effective advocate for the profession
Audience: This program is designed for all staff in nursing facilities and assisted living
communities.

Format: In-person only
CE Credit: 2 hours of continuing education is available. Please defer to your licensing board
or agency to ensure courses taken meet your license requirements.
