Content: This training will focus on behavior management and de-escalation. Attendees will learn how to identify causes of behaviors and learn de-escalation techniques. Interventions to help reduce occurrence of behaviors in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities will be discussed. Group discussions and networking will be included.
Objectives: At the completion of the training, the participant will be able to:
- Identify causes of behaviors in skilled nursing facility and assisted living community residents
- List interventions to help reduce occurrence of behaviors
- Describe de-escalation techniques
Audience: This program is designed for all staff in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities.
