Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team. Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing services.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Promote high-quality resident care and positive clinical outcomes.

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing staff.

  • Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, residents, and families.

  • Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska (or eligible for licensure).

  • Previous long-term care or skilled nursing leadership experience required.

  • Prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and long-term care operations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
