Sandhills Care Center is a small nursing home located in the heart of the Sandhills, in Ainsworth, NE. We are seeking a long-term care professional with a passion for caring for others and a deep interest in long term health care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with residents, handling physical tasks, and will be acutely aware of the challenges faced by elderly individuals and will seek to provide a safe and comfortable living environment.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be currently registered/licensed in Nebraska or compact.

· Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment. 

· Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service, patience, empathy, and compassion.

· Effective communication skills, including active listening, writing, speaking, and reading comprehension.

· Good collaboration, teamwork, and leadership skills

· Fast and adaptive problem-solving skills

· Keen attention to detail

· In-depth understanding of patient care policies, procedures, and regulations

· Comfortable working with specific populations of patients, including elderly residents and those with specific conditions, disabilities, or special needs.

· Knowledge of center procedures for patient care

· Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel

· Thorough knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare

· Great communication and people skills

· Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration

· Outstanding organizational and stress management skills

· Aptitude in problem-solving

· Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting
