Primary Responsibilities:
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for leading the skilled nursing team to ensure high standards of quality and delivering excellent care to residents. You will ensure that each nurse on staff is properly certified and abides by the standards for care established by our organization and state and federal laws.
Responsible for creating and implementing new policies and updating existing policies to help improve the level of care for each resident. Implement quality improvement programs designed to help us deliver the highest possible level of service. Ensure that all care plans have the documentation necessary to provide the proper type of care.
The DON also maintains relationships with healthcare providers and hospitals in the local community. Our Director of Nursing is supported by corporate operations and clinical teams (including the Chief Nursing Executive, Compliance Officer, Regional Reimbursement Specialist and the Regional Clinical Director); human resources and recruiting to establish our facility as a premier employer and provider of healthcare services.
