Nebraska Health Care Learning Center, an affiliate of the Nebraska Health Care Association, is a private post-secondary college for those seeking to launch or advance their career in health care. The role of Adjunct Instructor for the Nebraska Health Care Learning Center is responsible for instructing, directing, and educating students toward the goal of successful completion of the Basic Nursing Assistant and Medication Aide courses. This is a PRN, independent contractor position.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct students on the scope of practice and codes of conduct within their position in health care facilities
• Teach skills competencies
• Provide clinical experience
• Provide and maintain open lines of communication with students regarding progress
• Maintain a positive environment conducive to effective learning
• Evaluate student progress
• Partner closely with NHCLC’s administrator
• Assist in upholding NHCLC policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Nebraska
• 1-2 years of experience in long-term care
• Previous teaching/training experience (preferred)
• Bilingual – Spanish/English (preferred)
