Colburn Elected Chair of Nebraska Nursing Facility Association

Jay Colburn, Vice President of Long Term Care Services at York General Health Care Services in York, has been elected to serve as chair of Nebraska Nursing Facility Association’s board of directors. Colburn began a two-year term on January 1.

“Jay is a strong leader for Nebraska’s nursing homes," said Jalene Carpenter, president and CEO of Nebraska Health Care Association, which manages Nebraska Nursing Facility Association.

"His thoughtful and professional approach, combined with his extensive experience and natural drive to uphold the highest standards, will be an asset to our profession."

Colburn was also elected to co-chair Nebraska Health Care Association alongside Michelle Diaz, chair of Nebraska Assisted Living Association and Executive Director of Immanuel Village in Omaha.

Nebraska Health Care Association is the parent to Nebraska Nursing Facility Association (NNFA) and Nebraska Assisted Living Association (NALA), as well as Nebraska Health Care Learning Center and Nebraska Health Care Foundation. NNFA and NALA collectively represent approximately 400 nonprofit and proprietary nursing homes and assisted living facilities in Nebraska.
