Content: We are more than bosses and leaders, we are coaches. Every communication and interaction in the day-to-day to performance feedback is an opportunity to inspire, guide, and empower those we depend on most. When we shift from giving orders to asking questions, from directing to developing, we create a culture where everyone feels valued and engaged. Together, we can unlock the full potential of our team and deliver the best care for our residents. Let’s lead with empathy, listen with intention, and coach with purpose because when our teams grow, our residents thrive!

Objectives: At the completion of the training, the participant will be able to:

  1. Develop a deeper understanding of leadership styles and team communication to strengthen collaboration and improve group dynamics
  2. Shift from a directive leadership approach to a coaching mindset by building effective, clear, and supportive communication skills
  3. Decrease the number of management issues escalated to higher-level leaders by addressing avoidance behaviors and empowering supervisors to handle challenges directly
  4. Openly discuss common supervisory challenges and explore practical, real-world solutions to enhance leadership effectiveness and confidence
  5. Introduce and reinforce best practices for managing employees in ways that support performance, accountability, and a positive workplace environment
