- Medication Aide – Written Exam: $50
- Nurse Aide – Written Exam: $50
- Nurse Aide – Clinical Exam: $50
State Testing Eligibility ▶
Medication Aide: To be eligible to take the state test, you must have completed a 40-hour medication aide training.
Nurse Aide – Lapsed License: To be eligible to take the state test, you must include your license number on your Test Registration form. If you don’t know your license number, you can look up your license here. You do not need to submit proof of course completion.
Nurse Aide – New License: The State of Nebraska requires completion of a 76-Hour Nurse Aide Class and passing both the written and clinical exams to be placed on the registry.
- If you did not complete your course with the Nebraska Health Care Learning Center, proof of course completion is required at least three (3) days prior to testing. Your test results will NOT BE SUBMITTED TO THE STATE until you submit your required proof of course completion.
- Proof of course completion can be provided by either:
- If you did complete your course with Nebraska Health Care Learning Center or you have a lapsed nurse aide license, no additional information is needed prior to testing.

Accommodation Policy ▶
If you have a disability or health-related need that affects your ability to take the test under standard conditions, you may request accommodations in accordance with applicable regulations (e.g., the Americans with Disabilities Act).
- Examples of available accommodations include extended time, separate testing space, breaks, and test read aloud.
- Please submit your request as early as possible and provide documentation from a qualified healthcare or educational professional. If you have previously been approved for accommodations on another standardized test or by your school, you may submit that approval letter to support your request.
- Reasonable accommodations will be granted unless they fundamentally alter the test construct or compromise test security.

- The specific accommodations you are requesting, such as extended testing time, separate room, or having the written test read aloud.
- Attached documentation from a qualified professional outlining your diagnosis and recommended accommodations. If you have prior test accommodation approval letters, please attach those as well.

Documentation will be treated confidentially and handled in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
