Description
Nebraska Health Care Association (NHCA) is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven professional to join our team as the Operations Director for Educational Services. This role is pivotal in driving the success of NHCA’s educational programs, including the Nebraska Health Care Learning Center (NHCLC), a post-secondary institution dedicated to launching and advancing careers in health care. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning and Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of NHCLC and NHCA’s educational programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans that align with NHCA’s strategic goals, with input from key stakeholders.
  • Manage project scope and schedule to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Continuously monitor program performance, utilizing data-driven approaches to meet quality standards and organizational objectives.
  • Proactively manage risks to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead and inspire a team of professionals and third-party contractors to achieve educational excellence and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Oversee administrative processes related to education, policy development, and learning management systems.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and supportive team culture that aligns with NHCA’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Nebraska Department of Education, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, and other relevant entities.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, supporting team members in managing schedules and meeting project milestones.

Communication and Reporting

  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication with team members and external partners to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
  • Report project progress, changes, and challenges to senior management in a timely manner.
  • Develop and oversee evaluation processes for courses and instructors, analyzing data to drive continuous improvement and prepare insightful reports.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with a commitment to servant leadership principles
  • Strong background in market analysis, strategic planning, and budget management
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen)
  • Experience leveraging data to optimize operations and drive decision-making
  • Proven ability to lead teams, assign responsibilities, and enhance efficiency
  • Advanced computer and information technology skills
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining confidentiality
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience in operations or management
  • Familiarity with Nebraska Department of Education and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services regulations
  • Experience in skilled nursing facilities or assisted living communities, with a strong understanding of their operations
