Description

Seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist with a full-charge bookkeeping background with strong attention to detail. Experience in Medicaid billing and accrual accounting required. Assisted living experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for timely monthly billing resident rents and services.
  • Responsible for submitting monthly billing to DHHS Medicaid for resident services.
  • Monitor and control accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Responsible for collections for overdue accounts from Residents and DHHS Medicaid claims.
  • Invoice all fiscal agencies appropriately (such as DHHS Medicaid).
  • Prepare and follow the annual fiscal budget.
  • Assure accurate and appropriate financial reports and program reports are completed and distributed in a timely manner to the proper individuals and agencies.
  • Direct fiscal controls and procedures to assure sound fiscal management of corporate assets and liabilities, including audit procedures.
  • Manage and maintain the time clock.
  • Submit hours and overtime reports to appropriate staff weekly.
  • Responsible for all aspects of payroll.
  • Interact with Residents, families, staff and community at large in a professional and timely manner.
  • Participate in all staff training, attend appropriate educational seminars and maintain the skills and knowledge that the position requires.
  • Complete and distribute reports in a timely manner, including but not limited to: Hours report, financials, payroll, account receivables, etc. 
  • Annual Salary Starts at $52,000

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Proficient in Medicaid billing required.
  • Accrual accounting required.
  • Proficient in Quick Books required.
  • Proficient in Paychex preferred.
  • Assisted Living experience preferred.
  • Speak, read and write English required.
  • One-year experience in fiscal management required.
  • Work effectively with others.
  • Background checks and drug test required.
